Mental wellbeing is every bit as important as physical health — it should never feel like a luxury.
MindZone Community Counselling & Psychotherapy was founded by Mags Cargill, a qualified and accredited counsellor and psychotherapist working with a pluralistic, person-centred and integrative approach. Mags started MindZone three years ago with one aim: to normalise counselling and make it accessible to the people of West Dunbartonshire, in return nurturing a stronger, more connected community.
With the rising cost of living making emotional wellbeing feel harder to prioritise, sessions have been reduced to a fixed rate of £40 for residents of West Dunbartonshire — a reflection of MindZone's belief that support shouldn't wait for easier times.
This is only the beginning. As a Community Interest Company, MindZone's long-term goal is to grow into a fully funded local counselling hub — a place where young people, adults and elderly residents alike can access free counselling as and when it's needed, alongside a safe space to connect with peers and other services.
Whether you're looking for longer-term, integrative counselling, a solution-focused approach to a specific issue, or simply somewhere to talk things through — MindZone is here for you.

MindZone is a Community Interest Company with a bigger vision: a fully funded local hub where young people, adults and elderly residents alike can access counselling free of charge — and a safe place to connect with peers and other services, whenever it's needed.

Your first session is a chance to talk through what's brought you here, ask any questions, and get a feel for whether we're a good fit to work together — there's no pressure and nothing you need to prepare in advance.
Yes — what you share stays between us, with the standard professional exception of anything that suggests you or someone else may be at serious risk of harm, which we'd always discuss with you first wherever possible.
You'll get a private video call link sent to you closer to your session time — all you need is a quiet space and a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone.
Just let us know as soon as you can via WhatsApp — we'll do our best to work with you, though sessions may need to finish at the scheduled time to respect the next client.

Every booking confirmation includes a personal link to manage your own session — reschedule or cancel it yourself, free of charge, any time up to 48 hours before your appointment. Cancellations made with 48 hours' notice or more are automatically refunded in full.
Changes requested within 48 hours of your session can't be processed online, since it's often too late to offer that time to someone else — please contact us directly on WhatsApp to discuss.
